Last time at the Port Moresby 2015 Pacific Games, Tahiti dominated the competition, winning seven  of 11 gold medals. Tahiti won top honours in team, mixed doubles, men’s and women’s doubles and both singles events.

New Caledonia also fared well at the last Games, while the Vanuatu team dominated the Pacific Mini Games on home soil in 2017 and will be strong contenders for silverware here too.

Vanuatu’s most decorated table tennis player, Anolyn Lulu, her brother Ham Lulu, cousin Priscilla Tommy and nephew Edwin Lulu will all be starring at Samoa 2019.

Vanuatu will also be well represented in para table tennis, with Mary Ramel competing in the women’s ambulant and Rodney Ben in the men’s ambulant events.

Table tennis begins at 9am on Monday 8 July at Harvest Centre Faleata and runs for six days, with free admission.
