Getting around

• Taxis are abundant in Samoa. You can hail them from kerbside and ask how much the fare is before setting off.
  From Faleolo International Airport to Apia is around $80 Samoan Tala. Trips in Apia will vary between $5 and $15 Tala.
  
  
• You can also rent a car or van. You must apply for a Temporary Drivers Licence -  it is $21 Tala for one month and $42 Tala for two months.
  
  
• Probably the most colourful way to travel is by bus. This costs only a handful of Tala and will be noisy and a lot of fun. The central bus station, where buses leave for all destinations, is on the Apia sea front near the Fish Market.

• You do not require an entry permit for stays of less than 60 days. However, you must have a return or onward ticket and your passport must be valid for at least six months at the time of entry into the country.
