In July 2019, Samoa will host the Pacific Games – 22 countries, 26 sports, 5000 people.
The Office of the Pacific Games in Apia has identified areas where they need support so we have some fantastic, short-term, event-based assignments available for people keen to pass on their skills.
The assignments will run from the end of January 2019 for seven months. Your costs are covered, including a daily allowance.
In this assignment, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining quality content for the Office of the Pacific Games website and e-newsletter – the main channels of communication between the organisers and stakeholders of the 16th Pacific Games. You will be responsible for ensuring that content on this website is current, accurate and engaging. Your ability to draw information from stakeholders will be key to delivering relevant and informative content.
This is an opportunity to use your skills to build capacity within the communications team at the Office of the Pacific Games. This will involve holding workshops on creating effective web content and providing feedback and coaching where needed. We are looking for someone who has knowledge in google analytics – with the ability to train counterparts. You will have the opportunity to capture the insights that you gain from the experience in a proposed Policy Handbook that will act as a manual for future events of a similar nature in Samoa – a great opportunity to leave your mark after a successful assignment.
