Savai'i, the 'Big Island' will host Boxing (video)

The Boxing tournament at Don Bosco College in Saleloga, on Savai'i will bring the Samoa 2019 XVI Pacific Games to the Big Island, across Apolima Strait, thanks to Samoa Shipping Corporation.

Va'a racing is one of the more traditional sports of the Pacific Games and 15 countries will compete in V1 and V6.

 

Swimming at the XVI Pacific Games

A compulsory sport in the Pacific Games, Swimming has been held at every Games since its inception.

15 countries are expected to compete in the Swimming competition this year which doubles as a qualifier for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. 

The newly renovated Samoa Aquatic Centre will host the five-day competition, with the Open Water Swimming event held at Sheraton Mulifanua.
